SEMI-PRIVATE PILATES
Learn the system. Know your body. Progress with purpose.
Pilates was designed as a system—not a collection of exercises.
Our Semi-Private sessions bring you closer to the original method through small-group instruction on the Reformer, Tower, Wunda Chair, Cadillac, and other Classical Pilates apparatus.
With intentionally limited class sizes, your instructor can see you, teach you, and progress you. You'll learn not only whatto do, but how the exercises connect and why they belong together.
WHY SEMI-PRIVATE?
SMALLER BY DESIGN.
There is a reason we don't pack our equipment room with Reformers.
Semi-Private sessions are intentionally kept small so your instructor can provide individual corrections, adjust the apparatus, choose appropriate progressions, and actually watch you move.
You still get the energy of working alongside others—with an experience much closer to private instruction.
MORE THAN THE REFORMER.
The Reformer is only one piece of the Pilates system.
Depending on the session and your experience, you'll work across our collection of Classical apparatus, including the Reformer, Tower, Wunda Chair, Cadillac, barrels, and other equipment.
Each apparatus teaches the body something different. Together, they create the Method.
PROGRESSION, NOT RANDOMNESS.
You won't come in every week to an entirely different workout simply for the sake of novelty.
The Classical Pilates system is built on repetition, progression, and mastery. As you become stronger and more familiar with the work, exercises evolve, transitions become more efficient, and increasingly challenging movements become available to you.
You don't outgrow the basics. You get better at them.
FOUNDATIONS
Learn the language of Pilates.
Your starting point for equipment-based Pilates at Popp Method.
Foundations introduces the essential exercises, apparatus, transitions, spring changes, and principles you'll need to move confidently through the Classical system.
Expect deliberate pacing, detailed instruction, and plenty of opportunity to understand the work—not just keep up with it.
Foundations isn't "easy Pilates." It's where you build the control that makes everything that follows possible.

METHOD
Know the work. Deepen the practice.
For clients who have established a strong understanding of the Foundations repertoire and are ready for greater flow, independence, and challenge.
Method builds upon the exercises you already know while introducing more complex repertoire, transitions, and connections throughout the Classical system.
You'll be expected to recognize common setups, make spring changes with increasing independence, and move with greater precision and continuity.
The better you know the system, the more time you get to spend actually working within it.
MASTERY
Where knowledge becomes movement.
Our most advanced Semi-Private experience.
Mastery is designed for experienced practitioners with a strong command of the Classical repertoire, equipment, transitions, and their own bodies.
Sessions move with greater independence and efficiency, allowing time for advanced exercises, deeper connections between apparatus, and the details that can only be explored once the fundamentals are truly understood.
This isn't about performing the hardest exercise in the room.
It's about earning the control to perform the work well.
WHICH CLASS SHOULD I TAKE?

Experienced in the Classical system with a strong command of the repertoire and apparatus?
Mastery is where you continue to refine your practice.
Your instructor can help determine when you're ready to progress. Advancement isn't based solely on how many classes you've taken—it's based on your understanding, control, independence, and readiness for the next layer of the system.
WHY WE CALL IT SEMI-PRIVATE
Because small-group equipment training should actually feel small.
You aren't one of twenty people following choreography on a Reformer. You're learning a system, working with specialized apparatus, and receiving instruction specific enough to help you progress.
It's the community of a class with the attention of a much more personal Pilates experience.
